Toonophilia, also known as schediaphilia, is the paraphilia of being attracted to cartoon character(s) (toons) emotionally or sexually. A Toonophile or Schediaphile is a person whose sexual and/or romantic interests are toon characters.
In Japan, the sexual or affective attraction towards two-dimensional anime, [[[manga]], and Japanese light novel characters is called Nijikon (二次コン) or nijigen konpurekkusu (二次元コンプレックス), from the English phrase "2D complex". The term is also used by non-Japanese anime/manga fans
This is not to be confused with Fictosexuality, the sexual attraction towards any fictional characters (not just toons). Romantic attraction towards these characters is called fictoromantic.
